We Openly Talk About Our “Higher” Prices. Here’s Why:

Our “higher” estimates aren’t high. They’re just honest and transparent. Many contractors will give you a low price to get your contract, then hit you with change orders and surprise costs when you least expect it, all the while knowing the cost will be much more than the quoted price. You can easily find a cheap electrical contractor or hire an electrician who does side jobs. If you get a low estimate or quote there is always a reason, so ask yourself why their price is so low. Are they properly licensed and insured? If they are insured, do they hold a policy large enough to protect your home or business? Do they actually have the skills to pull off your project? Do they perform their work in line with the National Electrical Code?

All of our projects are either produced or overseen by a Master Electrician and we hold double the industry standard of general liability insurance, this allows us to work on a very wide range of projects all while protecting our clients property. Our services are designed to provide only top-quality work.

We bracket our estimates in ranges, the lower number for if everything goes as planned and higher number for if there are unforeseen circumstances out of our control. The only time we submit a change order is if these unforeseen circumstances occur and skew the estimate, for instance, if we’re running wire in a wall and run into many more obstacles (PVC, brace studs, extra fire blocks) than anticipated.

Pricing

There are many variables that go into estimating the cost of a project, and each project (even for the same type of job) is different. All ballpark estimates are presented in lump sums (materials & labor) to give you an idea of the total projected cost of specific projects. Below are ballpark estimates based on similar projects we’ve done in the past:

-Adding an outlet to an existing box: This service starts at around $200 if the wiring doesn’t require troubleshooting. If troubleshooting is required it could run anywhere from $250-300. The more outlets that need installed the cheaper the per outlet cost.

-Adding a new circuit: Starts around $350 if the wire run is relatively close to the panel; this depends how many studs need holes drilled to run the wire, the size of the wire etc.

-Transfer Switch Installation for Portable Generators: Starts at around $1,300-$1,800 (If you already have a generator). Starts at around $4,900-$5,100 (If you need all equipment and materials provided).
*These ballpark prices are based on a 13kW portable generator and all other equipment, materials, and labor.

-Sub Panels: Start at around $1,200-$1,800 and can be lower or significantly higher depending on many variables (distance from main panel, amount of circuits, wire size, conduit size, materials used etc.)

-Service Upgrades: Start around $3,200 and can be lower or significantly higher depending on many variables (size of upgrade wire, conduit, meter enclosure, panel type and # of breakers, materials used etc.)
*Transfer Switches, Sub Panels, & Service Upgrades require in person consultations, they also require permits and inspections (variable fees associated).
